You've Been Attending New Life for a While... What Now?

Baptism

Baptism is a picture of the gospel and symbol of the spiritual change that God has worked in our lives. In baptism we express our acceptance of death with Christ, putting an end to our old way of life and rising with Christ to begin new life in Him. In baptism, we are declaring our loyalty and allegiance to Jesus.

Life Groups

Life Groups are the heart of New Life Church and are a great way for you to become part of our family and get connected. These small groups meet weekly for about 90 minutes including a time for worship, application of the sermon, prayer, and social time. Visit our Life Groups Page to find a list of groups.

Membership
Local church membership is one of life’s most important decisions. Church membership provides God’s people with the nurturing care of a congregation, as well as, a context for every member to use their God-given gifts to minister to the body. Learn more about New Life’s membership process here.

Serve

Part of our growth as disciples of Jesus is to follow him in serving others. We invite you to use your God-given gifts and talents to help care for your church family.

  • If you are extroverted or just love making people feel welcomed, this team is for you!  The Sunday Welcome Team greets people as they drive into the parking lot, and help to make sure they know where they're going.  We also have greeters and those inside the atrium who welcome our visitors and help them get acquainted with our church.  For more information on this team, email Seth Clements.

  • There's a lot more that goes into Sunday mornings than just flipping on the light switch and turning up the pastor's microphone!  If you have experience in A/V, or would like to be trained, we would love to have your help!  Please email Allen Chandler for more information.

  • Do you enjoy singing silly songs and dishing out Cheerios to our youngest church goers?  If so, you may be interested in helping out in Kids Ministry!  All joking aside, we take very seriously our duty to pass on the truths of the Scriptures to the next generation.  We have opportunities to serve children ages 6 weeks - 6th grade on Sunday mornings & Wednesday nights.  If you are interested in having a front row seat to discipling our future leaders, email Judith Grazette for more information!

  • New Life Youth meets weekly on Wednesday nights.  If you have a passion to work with students and sense the Lord is calling you to serve with New Life Youth email Seth Clements for more information!

  • Becoming part of a Life Group is the best way to get involved in community at New Life!  Most Life Groups meet once a week in someone's home, to fellowship together and discuss the Word.  If you'd like to know more about Life Groups, or are interested in leading one, please email Kevin Woo.

  • Our Street Mission Ministry Team meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays in the Gym Kitchen at 7:30 a.m. to prepare food to distribute to needy men, women, and children of downtown Louisville. Along with providing food and clothing, we have the awesome opportunity of one-to-one evangelism. For more information, please email Phil Yeoman.

  • Music is one of the many ways we love to worship God.  If you have a heart for worship, musical gifts that God has blessed you with, and are interested in serving on our worship team, please email Mavis Reid for more information.

  • If you have experience in the area of communication, photography, or social marketing, and are interested in helping out our Communications Team, please email Kevin Woo for more information.

  • From weekly Bible study classes to prayer and worship nights, there's always an opportunity to serve in our Women's Ministry.  If you are interested in helping to serve the women of New Life, please email Ayisha Hayes-Taylor for more information.

  • In a facility of any size, it seems there's always something that needs to be fixed or maintained.  If you are a handy person, or just have willing hands and a servant's heart, and would like to serve your church in this area, please reach out to Allen Chandler for more information.

  • Everyone needs help of some sort from time to time.  Be it helping a widow to take care care of her lawn, helping someone move, serving on our kitchen team, or taking meals to a family in the midst of a crisis, we are all called to be the hands and feet of Christ to the body. If you'd like to be on a list of those notified whenever there is a need, please email Marcy Davis.
