outreach at new life

Part of the mission statement here at New Life Church is that we are to be "outward-focused." Being outward-focused is not just a catchy saying that is repeated without any action, but a lifestyle that we believe we are to walk out in as Christ followers.

With that being said, God has placed a multitude of ministries where our church body can practically be outward-focused. Each of these ministries presents a glimpse of what it means to be a missional church and to be "sent" by Jesus Christ (John 20:21; Matthew 28:16-20)

  • hotdogs & homework

Hot Dogs & Homework is an after-school tutoring program designed to help children improve academically. We provide homework assistance and specialized tutoring for children 1st - 8th grade in a friendly and safe environment as well as providing a small "Hotdog" meal. The program meets Wednesdays from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. This ministry, alongside it being extremely fruitful, provides a safe, comfortable environment for kids to experience the love of Jesus and hear the Gospel.

  • Street mission ministry

Our Street Mission Ministry Team meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays in the Gym Kitchen at 7:30 a.m. to prepare food to distribute to needy men, women, and children of downtown Louisville. Along with providing food and clothing, we have the awesome opportunity of one-to-one evangelism. We encourage you to come and join us!

  • Refugee ministry

We partner with local relocation organizations to help refugees as they start their new life in Louisville. We mobilize teams to gather needed resources such as furniture, clothing, small appliances, and school supplies to help new families feel welcome and have everything they need.
