missions

Church is a place to be encouraged and equipped to reach outside of our own congregation. At New Life, we take seriously the call to live an outward-focused, others-centered life. We offer opportunities to reach Louisville or reach the world with the love of Christ.

Check out the opportunities we have to make a difference for the Kingdom of God.

street mission ministry

Our Street Mission Ministry Team meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays in the Gym Kitchen at 7:30 a.m. to prepare food to distribute to needy men, women, and children of downtown Louisville. Along with providing food and clothing, we have the awesome opportunity of one-to-one evangelism. We encourage you to come and join us!

Also, we welcome your clean, gently-used clothing items, such as men's shirts, pants, hats (toboggan style), gloves, and new underwear. Due to limited storage space, we ask that items be given by season. Women's and children's clothing are also needed. There is a box of marked "Street Mission Ministry" in the corner of the Atrium to drop off clothing. In advance, we thank you for your heartfelt giving!

haiti

New Life Church first began sending teams to Haiti after the devastating earthquake of 2010.

We have had a variety of focuses ranging from humanitarian aid, building houses, general construction projects, medical and dental clinics, ministry in orphanages and prisons, water filtration, water provision, installation of water pumps, data collection, teaching, discipleship, and focused prayer.

But the real purpose of our ongoing work in Haiti and each annual trip is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to share the freedom that only Christ can bring in a country that desperately needs to hear the good news!

Over the years, our efforts have become more and more focused into two areas.

First, is our partnership with Pastor Bosseut Lexius in the village of Lubin. Lubin is located in the 5th Section of Haiti, one of the poorest areas of the country. It is a privilege to get to get to work alongside such a godly man and be a part of the miraculous transformation happening in this area of the country!

Our second area of focus is in a small orphanage in the town of Montroius. Founded by Makendey Philogene and his wife Zikki, what began as their personal effort to bring in and care for children who lost their parents in the earthquake, is now a recognized, thriving orphanage where education and Christ are the focus!
