tim parish

After doing mission work in Central Asia, Tim joined the staff at New Life Church in 1996 and has been Senior Pastor since 2003.  He is passionate about leading people to Jesus and helping them grow in their relationship with God and in the knowledge of His Word.  Tim has a B.A. in Cross-cultural Studies from Bethany Global University, a M.A. from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Th.M. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has studied Linguistics at the University of North Dakota and Tajik State University in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. He has also completed the Summer Programme in Theology at Oxford University in Oxford, England.  More importantly, Tim and his wife, Marlene, have been married since 1992 and have four sons, two daughters-in-law and two grandchildren.  He enjoys reading (especially C. S. Lewis!), watching University of Kentucky basketball and Minnesota Vikings football, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

  • Phil Yeoman

    Executive PASTOR

    Phil became a part of New Life Church in 1983, and then served on the mission field in Eastern Europe for many years with his family. In 2014, he joined the staff at New Life.  As Executive Pastor, Phil oversees staff development, conflict resolution, and also coordinates crossover between ministries and the use of facilities.  He also manages international missions through the church.  His favorite thing about his role at New Life is seeing individual growth in people, and getting to see how that impacts the culture of the church.  Phil has been married to his wife Lori, since 1979, and they have 6 children and 11 grandchildren.  He enjoys playing tennis, exercising, and traveling, but he especially loves traveling to the beach.

    Pastor Carroll has been at New Life Church since its inception, in 1981.  He served as New Life’s first pastor, from 1981 until 2003, when he passed the baton to his son, Tim.  He currently serves the church in counseling, teaching, and prayer.  Carroll studied at Mid-Continent University, the International Seminary, and also the Alternative Medical College of Canada.  He and his wife, Debbie, have 2 sons, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.  He enjoys reading, intercession, and cheering on the UK Wildcats during basketball season

  • Kevin Woo

    Administrative pastor

    Kevin has been connected with New Life Church since 2001, and has been on staff since 2007.  As Administrative Pastor, he loves helping people get connected.  He oversees Life Groups, communications, membership, benevolence, and also our Wednesday night classes.  He is passionate about working within the context of the local church to help people grow into maturity. Kevin graduated from the University of Louisville, and is currently studying at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He has been married to his wife Becky for 20 years, and they have three sons. He enjoys reading, live music, working out, British mystery shows, and spending time with his family.

    Worship Pastor

    Mavis has been New Life’s Worship Pastor since 2007.  She leads our worship team, PURSUIT, in scheduling, rehearsals, song selection, and mentoring.  Her great love for the Lord along with her passion for worship easily lend themselves to serving in this role.  Originally from the Philippines, Mavis moved to the States when she was 3 years old, and then to Kentucky when she was 10.  She received her bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Kentucky, and then worked in healthcare before staying home to raise her daughters.  She has been married to her husband Shannon, for 34 years, and they have 4 daughters and 3 grandchildren.  Mavis loves hosting people & cooking massive amounts of Asian food for them, traveling, shopping, & being with her family.

    Youth Pastor

    God brought Seth to New Life in 2012 and instantly he knew he was home. He later joined New Life staff as the Youth Pastor in 2019.  As youth pastor Seth gets to do what he loves most. He gets to build relationships with students and enjoy the perk of getting a front row seat to watching Jesus transform their lives. He also gets to "school" them in basketball regularly on Wednesday nights. Seth studied at Spalding University earning his undergraduate degree, and later graduating from Asbury Theological Seminary. When Seth is not on campus helping with various events and ministries you will often find him at home. Seth is married to his wife Sarah and together they have two daughters and two sons. He loves date nights with Sarah, traveling to beaches, playing golf and basketball, praying, and last but not least napping.

    After serving with YWAM Montana & Mazatlan, Aidan came on staff at New Life in 2021.  As an intern, there are many capacities in which he serves, but his main focus is assisting with the youth ministry.  In addition to that, Aidan also manages the church’s social media platforms, assists the Senior Pastor as needed, and serves on our Communications Team.  His extreme passion for the Lord and desire to carry the gospel to those in need has led him to coordinate multiple mission trips for the church.  Aidan is currently studying at Boyce College and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  If he’s not working at the church or writing a paper for school, you might find him playing basketball, spending time with his fiancé Lindsey, or at the gym working out.

    Kids pastor

    Judith moved to Louisville from Barbados, along with her husband in 2003, and they have been at New Life since 2005.  From volunteer, to part-time preschool director, to now full-time Kids Pastor, Judith loves getting to build relationships with kids and their families.  Being able to witness the Holy Spirit’s work in kids’ lives is her absolute favorite thing about serving in this role.  Judith studied at Barbados Community College, and also the University of the West Indies.  While she misses island life the most during winter, she and her husband Gregory enjoy living in Louisville with their daughter Victoria.  If Judith isn’t at the church, you’ll probably find her relaxing at home, watching Hallmark Christmas movies.  And if she isn’t there, you’ll need to check the beaches of Barbados!

    kids ministry assistant

    Ruth has been at New Life since 2012, and came on staff as the Kids Ministry Assistant in 2020.  In addition to compiling weekly lessons and managing social media accounts for Kids Min, she coordinates and implements special events for our families and team of volunteers.  She really enjoys getting to be creative and plan events that are both fun and meaningful for New Life families.  After receiving her undergraduate degree in music at William Carey University, Ruth spent 2 years overseas, doing missions work before moving to Louisville to study at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  She loves reading, watching Alabama football, and exploring new places with her husband Nick, and their two boys.

    Allen has faithfully served New Life as both our Audio/Visual/Lighting Director, and our Facility Manager since 2015.  He helps not only to maintain the building and grounds, but also works tirelessly to ensure that each service has audio, visual, and streaming capabilities so that our weekly services go beyond those in the local area.  Allen studied music at the University of Louisville and Western Kentucky University, and he is married to Star.

    Ayisha has led our Womens Ministry at New Life since 2021.  She coordinates special events such as prayer and worship nights, teachings, and other edifying activities.  Her passion is encouraging women to walk boldly after all that God has for them and their families.  Ayisha studied at the University of Kentucky, and in addition to her role at New Life, she also owns and operates a Kumon Learning Center here in Louisville.  She is married to the love of her life, Kevin, and they have 6 children.  She loves tacos, and enjoys having good conversation with a friend over coffee. 

  • daniel ramirez

    hispanic ministry

    Originally from Colombia, Daniel first met his wife Shani while they both pastored and ministered at a small church there.  They moved to Louisville in 1998 to get married, and then he began earning his master’s degree at Louisville Bible College.  During that time, he and his wife planted a number of Hispanic churches in different parts of the city, until the Lord brought them to New Life in 2009, with their three children.  They immediately felt very connected with the preaching, vision, and pastoral team.  After ministering at New Life for a few years, Daniel was asked to come on staff as the Hispanic Pastor.  In addition to this role at church, he also owns a small home repair business that opens many doors to witness with different Hispanic construction crews in our community.  Daniel loves welcoming new people that the Lord sends to New Life, and he also really enjoys sampling the various Hispanic foods that are brought to their gatherings!

  • shani ramirez

    hispanic ministry

    Shani and her husband Daniel began having Spanish services in New Life’s gym back in 2009.  They later became members of New Life and then came on staff in 2016.  Along with pastoring our Spanish speaking members, they provide in-ear interpretation on Sunday mornings, and also lead Bible studies in homes that are also in Spanish.  Shani is passionate about connecting people and teaching the Word of God.   She also serves as a teacher within our women’s ministry.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University, and also studied Christian Education at Louisville Bible College.  Shani and Daniel have three children, and she loves hiking, teaching gymnastics, and playing volleyball.

    Marcy has served on staff at New Life since 2008.  As Executive Assistant for the church, she handles all things administrative, tech, media, and events.  She enjoys getting to serve behind the scenes in support ministries that help to promote the Kingdom.  Marcy graduated from the University of Minnesota, and is married to Adam.  They have three children: Alexandria, Braeden, & Riley.  She loves hiking, playing games, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings & Wild and the Minnesota Gophers in football, basketball, and hockey.

  • Dana Vincent

    financial secretary

    Dana has served as New Life’s Financial Secretary since 2003.  She handles all aspects of financial accounting and keeps everyone on track.  Dana graduated from the Unviersity of Louisville with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and is also a licensed CPA.  She enjoys reading, knitting, and doing anything with her husband Michael, and their two children.

    Debbie has served as one of New Life’s receptionists for more than 17 years.  As the wife of our founding pastor, she has seen New Life through many stages, and has faithfully pitched in to serve as needed.  If you’ve ever called New Life Church, chances are, you’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Debbie.  She also heads up our Women’s Connection Groups that meet weekly.  Debbie loves shopping, music, traveling, and being with her family, which consists of her husband Carroll, their 2 sons & 2 daughters-in-law, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. 


  • Lori hitchcock

    receptionist

    Originally from Minnesota, Lori moved to Louisville in 2001 and began attending New Life in 2008.  After serving as a volunteer for several years, she then came on staff in 2018 as a part-time receptionist.  Lori loves greeting visitors with her bright and cheery smile, and is always willing and eager to help out where needed.  She studied secretarial and programming courses at Hibbing Junior College and Scottsdale Junior College.  Lori loves going to yard sales, reading, going to lunch with friends, and spending time with her daughter and granddaughter.  She's known for her sweet tooth & may or may not be hiding a secret stash at her desk!
